I just updated my profile description and wanted to post it here …
Silpada Jewellery loving woman who is taking time to step back and focus on what’s important in life. In 2010 I’m focusing on getting back to “me”. Deep down inside I have buried my sarcastic fun loving humour, energy and enthusiasm for life and I’m determined to regain that side of me. Part of my journey will be sharing the joy of appreciating others.
Can you love the product you sell too much?
I know it may sound like an odd question since it’s important to be an advocate of a product if you are going to be successful in selling it. Although, I’m really started to wonder if I am addicted to the product I sell. Can I get too much of a good thing? Wearing this product makes me feel so confident, I can make any outfit look great just by adding some of these great Jewellery pieces, it really makes a statement! I just can’t get enough. Recently I had been awarded $500 in free jewellery for meeting a specific sales goal, so I made my list, placed my order and eagerly waited for my order to arrive. Well no sooner had it arrived and I was adding more product to my wish list. Every piece I receive I want more, I haven’t yet dipped into my profits to buy more product but I have to admit it is tempting.
This experience has me wondering, is there were people go wrong when starting a home business? Do they reinvest too much profit into more product. What’s your experience?
Canadian Party Plan Opportunities
I started an interesting email conversation with Amy @ Home Party Review today regarding Party Plan businesses in Canada. There are so many different options and not all companies do a good job of identifying whether their company operates in both the USA and Canada. I love free Jewellery!
I hosted a Silpada Jewellery party at my home on September 3rd, it was actually the first time many of my friends had been to the home I am living in now. It really caused me to reflect on how busy our lives have become and how much I miss spending time with my girlfriends. On top of that I received $154 in free Jewellery and my party was not as high as the Canadian average. The average Canadian Silpada party awards the hostess with $375 in free Jewellery.
The fun I had that evening solidified for me the decision to become an Independent Silpada Designs Representative. Think about it, how much fun is it to spend a couple of hours with women on a girls night out and finish off the evening by giving away free jewellery. That’s my definition of a perfect business.
One more sleep til my Silpada party!
I’m very excited to connect with my girlfriends, share a glass of wine and play dress up! I have not officially signed up with Silpada as a Representative yet but I’m sure it will only be a matter of weeks before I’m up and running. Can you imagine any better way to earn additional income then to play dress up with other women for a living! I’m stoked.
A last minute switch to Silpada …
It has been a very draining week but in the end I made a decision for me that I am excited about. I have loved the Silpada line since I first set my eyes on it but when looking for a Jewelry company to work with I let other factors contribute to my decision. I signed up with another company and set my launch for September 3rd. This week I received my kit and my heart sank because the style was not me. I have formed a wonderful relationship with the representative of this company and it tore me apart to re-evaluate my decision. After a couple of sleepless nights and finding a local Silpada rep who I had a lot in common with I made the decision to change my Party to Silpada. I am very excited to begin this journey.
Direct Sales Home Party Plan Business
28 years ago I joined my first Home Party Plan business and I was very successful, as I look back now I wonder why I did not stay with it. Oh, I remember, I wanted a “career”. I can’t believe I discounted the value and contribution I made as a Home Party Consultant. Here we are 28 years later and I am 1 week away from launching my new career with Aurastella and I am very excited. I have prepared for this more then anything I have done in years. Prior to making the decision to join Aurastella I have listened to training CD’s by Belinda Elsworth, Pat Pearson, and Karen Phelps. These women are making it so much easier for women today to realize their potential in direct sales. It’s valuable training and I would recommend any of their audio trainings to women who are considering or already in the Direct Sales profession.
Why the name Silver Aura …
I am starting a business with AuraStella, which is a Direct Sales company marketing beautiful .925 Sterling Silver Jewelry, wearable art made by Artisans from around the world. So the words Silver and Aura come from my new beginning and the company I am very excited to work with but also the definition of someone who has a Silver Aura is very much in line with the Person I would like to be and my journey.
SILVER AURA COLOR: This is the color of abundance, both spiritual and physical. Lots of bright silver can reflect to plenty of money, and/or awakening of the cosmic mind.
Bright metallic silver: Receptive to new ideas; intuitive; nurturing
A exciting change in direction
This will just be a quick update as I prepare to change direction in my blog postings as well as my personal journey. You will notice my previous direction was focused on weight loss and a product called Core 4, many people have had wonderful results with this product. My results were good at the beginning but it did not fix the cause of my being overweight. My excess weight is from a feeling of being unfulfilled in life and soothing that empty feeling with food. If I’m bored I eat, if I’m tired I eat, if I’m upset I eat … you get the picture.
